'Leading the Observable Learning '

Engagement Overview: The design, co-creation and operationalisation of key elements of the 2025 Association Conference. This exciting event seeks to support association membership to make explicit the professional practices, attitudes and mindsets of highly effective learning leadership across the schools that they lead.

“Through our continued commitment to equity, we embrace our diversity and create engaged, collaborative, resilient contributors who can think critically and creatively to be successful in a global society.”

Sounds great, doesn’t it? As school leaders, we often have vision statements such as this and spend our time, resources and collaborative efforts to make our vision come to life in our schools. However, despite our best attempts, vision statements and lineal improvement plans can often be ‘less visible’ in the culture of teaching and learning in our classrooms and teacher workspaces. So how might we find a way to connect our leadership actions to observable impact, the changes in professional practices we can actually SEE in our classrooms that lead to improved outcomes for all our students?
